business continuity

Our approach to business continuity is based on taking the best aspects from a number of international standards, blending these with our own experience and tailoring the solution to the needs of each client. We work with a range of recognised guidelines for business continuity, including:

  • Standards New Zealand HB221-2003 - Business Continuity Management
  • Business Continuity Institute Good Practice Guidelines 2005

In approaching this work we encourage the use of The Business Continuity Institute, definition of Business Continuity Management as

"a holistic management process that identifies potential impacts that threaten an organisation and provides a framework for building resilience and the capability for an effective response that safeguards the interests of its key stakeholders, reputation, brand and value creating activities."

Resilience will utilise these guidelines as well as the wealth of experience gained by delivering programs of this nature. In addition, it is important to link business continuity with IT disaster recovery, crisis management and any risk management frameworks to ensure there is integration of these elements.

CASE STUDIES

Resilience’s capability is highlighted by the range of client engagements which include Fonterra, the Government of Samoa, Wellington City Council and more.

Crisis Management

The way in which an organisation responds to a crisis can be the make or break of its ongoing viability.
