Karen Stephens - Founder and Principal Consultant

 

Karen's 12 years in the crisis management, business continuity and emergency management field has taken her around the world, managing assignments in the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. She developed her knowledge in these areas as a lead consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, delivering assignments to major clients, and training other consultants at a number of the international member firms.

Karen has spoken at international conferences on business continuity, crisis management, risk management and emergency management.

Her speciality areas include:

  • Developing business continuity and crisis management methodologies

  • Writing and facilitating major simulation exercises

  • Business continuity, crisis management and emergency response plan development and implementation

Her implementation experience includes working with major corporations, large Government departments and local Government designing and implementing business continuity programs as well as training senior management and staff in response and plan development.  

Resilience consultants also specialise in crisis communication, IT disaster recovery and Civil Defence Emergency Management operations training to support the needs of clients.
